Samsung Galaxy S4 Wireless Charging Kit Now Available in US

Feeling annoyed by plugging and unplugging your phone from the charger? Not anymore, when you have Samsung’s newly launched wireless charging kit for Samsung Galaxy S4.

This new wireless charging kit having two important parts which is the charging cover(battery cover replacement) and the wireless charging pad. It uses the Qi wireless charging standard, so if you already have a Qi charger, what you need is to grab the charging cover for $39.99(approximately RM123), but otherwise you also need a wireless charging pad for $49.99(approximately RM 154), which makes about $90, a heft RM278.37!  This new  Samsung Galaxy S4 wireless charging kit is now available directly through the Samsung accessory store.

You can finally charge your phone without connecting ports or cables by just simply place your phone on the wireless charging pad and it will begin charging. Too bad this new kit is still not available in the Malaysian market. If you need one badly, then you have online order it and ship it all the way from the States. Though it does concern me, why Samsung didn’t integrate the Qi induction charger into the phone itself? Why make a separate battery cover for Qi? Another question is, does the Qi battery cover have NFC, or do we have to sacrifice NFC for wireless charging?
